The conversation ball is a beach ball-sized inflatable printed with over 60 thought-provoking questions and topic prompts. It suits group icebreaker sessions, one-on-one conversations, and light indoor beach ball games for adults in care or community settings.
How it can be used
Participants throw or pass the ball to one another. When the ball is caught, the player answers the question closest to their thumb. In a music-based variation, the ball is passed while music plays and the holder answers when the music stops. The activity sheet included with the ball provides additional ideas for adapting play to different group sizes and functioning levels.
The ball requires inflation before use. A balloon pump is available separately. The format works across a range of ability levels and can be run with minimal preparation.

- Throw and answer: Participants stand or sit in a circle and throw the ball to one another. The catcher answers the question nearest their right thumb, then throws to the next person.
